The Foundation, with donor support, accomplished so much this past year! Working collaboratively with our health care workers, we were able to make advancements to our O.R. equipment, replace the entire nurse call system, provide education funding for two Public Health Nurses, who are now certified Lactation Consultants, replace all cardiac monitoring equipment and provide education funding to our nurses for expanded knowledge for patient care mental health. We are very grateful!
The equipment needs for 2024-2025 are in excess of $700,000.00. We have been fortunate to secure some of this funding already through the generosity of donors and bequests. In addition to the following equipment needs listed, we know that there are also Pulse Oximeters, Nocturnal Oximeters and additional Holter Monitors needed.
10 INPATIENT BEDS: $132,000.00 (partial funding secured)
These beds are the last 10 beds of the three year bed replacement plan. We have heard positive feedback from patients and staff about the new beds that are already in use.
ENDOSCOPY SUITE MONITORS: $127,000.00
An endoscopy suite refers to a dedicated area where medical procedures are performed with endoscopes, which are cameras used to visualize structures within the body, such as the digestive tract and genitourinary system. From April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, Humboldt District Hospital did 2,149 endoscopy procedures!
UPGRADE TO DIGITAL X-RAY: $500,000.00 (funding secured)
Our current X-Ray machines were moved over from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. The Foundation has approved to upgrade one of the two X-Ray’s to digital X-Ray. With digital X-Ray, Physicians will receive the images immediately!
PIGG-O-STAT IMMOBILIZER: $12,500.00 (funding secured)
The Pigg-O-Stat is an all-in-one pediatric immobilization device designed for positioning infants and young children for a good quality x-ray.
By supporting our Christmas Angel Appeal, your donation will assist in funding the capital equipment needs for our hospital and assist in providing exceptional health care close to home. Once we receive your donation, we will hang an angel on our tree at the hospital with your name on it.
