The Daisy Dukes hockey team donated the proceeds from a 50/50 draw that they had during a recent fundraiser evening.

Discovery Auto Group is the first company to join the Employee/Employer matching program.  In January, 2010 some of the employees that participated presented a cheque to Lorrie Bunko.

Patti Durand entered a contest called Release the Goodness and won $5,000 to help an employee whose husband had been diagnosed with inoperable cancer.  Patti donated half the money to the family and the other half to the HDHF.  Pictured and Larry and Patti Durand and family presenting the cheque as well as a personal donation to Executive Director Lorrie Bunko.

After the PotashCorp Lanigan’s $500,000 Community Matching Program, Jeff Saufert from Farm World Humboldt presents Lorrie Bunko with a $5,000 cheque.

The Humboldt District Chamber of Commerce held its first annual Festival of Lights during the holiday season.  There was a silver collection taken and Executive Director DonnaLyn Dyok presents Lorrie Bunko with a cheque for $2,000.

Tony and Delores Frerichs of St. Gregor make a generous donation through the Christmas Angel solicitation.

In December the Good Neighbour Store paid out $168,000 to community groups in the Humboldt District.  The HDHF was the recipient of $36,000.

At the Official Launch in October, members of the Good Neighbour Store Board present Lorrie Bunko, Michelle Bankowski, Equipment Committee Co-Chair and Pat Witt, Board Chair a cheque in the amount of $18,077.23.

At the Dining with Dini Petty Gala, Phil Griffith, Manager and Rick Merkosky, Board Chair present Lorrie Bunko, Michelle Bankowski, Equipment Campaign Committee Co-Chair and Pat Witt, Board Chair with a $25,000 donation.

Paul Reist, conductor of the Humboldt Men’s Chorus and the Muenster Grade 8 and 9 choir, organized a Christmas Concert on December 21.  Both groups as well as the HCI Choir performed and raised $296 for the Equipment Campaign.

In November, four women got together to host “An Evening with Family and Friends” a benefit for the Oncology Department.  Photographer Alison Berk donated her time to take photographs of clients and revealed them that night.  Cancer survivor, Niamh Menz was the inspiration behind the whole evening.  Alison and Niamh along with Bonnie Classen and Tracey Ross organized a very successful evening raising over $24,000.  Pictured are Alison Berk, Niamh Menz, Pat Witt and Lorrie Bunko.

At the Official Launch in October, Brian Dosch and Boyd Hoffman from Jay Dee AgTech present Pat Witt, Board Chair, Michelle Bankowski, Equipment Campaign Co-Chair and Lorrie Bunko with a cheque for $10,000.

The Humboldt Journal and East Central Trader show their media support to the Foundation.

The St. Elizabeth’s Ladies Auxilliary makes a donation in the amount of $32,000 in support of Telemetry Equipment.

Alison Berk of Imagin Photography & Framing hosted a Ladies Golf Night in July, 2009 and donated the proceeds of the 50/50 draw to the HDHF.  Winner, Janice Ruedig, donated her share back to the  Foundation.  Thanks Ladies!  Pictured, Janice Ruedig, Lorrie Bunko and Alison Berk.

In memory of Cyril Hale, the Cyril & Louise Hale Family supports the equipment campaign with their generous donation at Christmas time.

The Materials Management department at the Hospital made and sold jello shooters for the Hospital Staff Christmas Party.  All the proceeds from the shooters were donated to the Hospital Foundation.  Pictured are Carrie Ebner, Lorrie Bunko, Sharon Cameron and Kery Matsalla.

The first official pledge for the HDHF Our Legacy . . . Our Future! During the Official Launch Week the Quill Lake Colony hosted a corn roast with all the proceeds going to the Hospital Foundation.  Pictured with members of the Colony are Allison Eichorst, Administrative Assistant, Lorrie Bunko and Pat Witt, Board Chair.

Laurie Warford (right) of Reel Attractions Cinema and Video presents Lorrie Bunko with a donation to the HDHF $1.8 million Equipment Campaign.  The donation was raised during the business’ grand opening silent auction.  Reel Attractions also donated 200 DVD movies for hospital patients.

Bill Gerla & Renee Zimmerman – Shopper’s Drug Mart donated $1,888 from their Tree of Life Campaign.  These dollars are being used to support a new birthing bed at the Humboldt District Health Complex.

Marvin Syroteuk, Secretary of the Pilot Grove Snow Club makes a donation in memory of Cyril Hale in the amount of $11,444.19.  The Snow Club ran from 1958 – 2008 and the members include Frances Novecosky, Tim & Alex Saretsky, Emil Saretsky, Mike & Kevin Syroteuk, Stan & Lorne Giddings, Florian Possberg, Dennis Merkosky, the late Cyril Hale, Ken Sutherland and Lawrence Paluik.

South 20 Dodge makes it’s first pledge payment in the amount of $2,000.00.  They have pledged a total of $10,000 over five years.  Pictured Willie Kosokowsky, Steve Slipetz, Lorrie Bunko, Garret Porten and Richard Kosokowsky.
